ON THE occasion of International Olympic Day, Physically Challenged Cricket Association Nagpur (PCCAN) along with MLA Mohan Mate, founder of Madhyam Lokseva Pratishthan donated Rs 21,000 to the physically challenged athletes of the city.
 
The lockdown imposed to restrict the spread of the deadly coronavirus has affected all major businesses in the city and has also put an extra burden on the working class. The physically challenged athletes, who are unable to make their ends meet during this pandemic period received Rs 1,000 each from MLA Mate on the occasion of International Olympic Day. In all 21 athletes received cash. Mate declared that he will be adopting five physically challenged athletes while Dhananjay Upasni declared adoption of two. Mate gave assurance to provide electric cycle rikshaws, jobs and a space for play ground to the physically challenged athletes on this occasion. Piyush Ambulkar, PCCAN’s Bhushan Dadave, Gurdas Raut, Anil Kotangale, President of PCCAN; Dhananjay Upasani, Vinay Yadav, Sarang Chapale, Dheeraj Harade, Parag Watkar, Janak Sahu and Piyush Kontangale were also present.

Sath Foundation, PCCAN donate food to handicap UNDER the guidance of Nilesh A Bharne, Additional Commissioner of Police, (Crime branch), Nagpur City, the Acharya Shri Vidyasagar Seva Group (Sath Foundation) along with the help of Physically Challenged Cricket Association, Nagpur distributed food and grocery items to the physically challenged people, who are unable to make their ends meet because of the COVID-19. The coronavirus lockdown has put a full stop on several small and medium businesses in the city, resulting into job losses for many. The physically challenged people, who were involved in small businesses are now unemployed and are in a very dire situation. Sath Foundation’s Rinku Jain, Anil Jain, Kallu Jain, Pramod Jain, Mahendra Jain, Ankit Jain, Dr Joytsana Thombre and Guddu Moyee under the watchful eyes of Bharne, distributed food packets and other necessary grocery items to over 40 physically challenged people. Physically Challenged Cricket Association, Nagpur’s, Anil Kotangale, Bhushan Dhawale, Dhananjay Upasni, Dheeraj Harade, Parag Watkar, Janak Sahu and Amol Marotkar were also present.
