Bharatiya Janata Party leaders and members paid tributes to founder of Bharatiya Jan Sangh Dr Syama Prasad Mookerjee on his death anniversary at the party office. Member of Parliament Rakesh Singh said Dr Mookerjee was a visionary and one who sacrificed his life for the country. Singh said we are moving forward with the same idea and philosophy of Dr Mookerjee.
 
Rakesh Singh said Prime Minister Narendra Modi had earlier cleared his intention to abrogate Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir, for which Dr Mookerjee had sacrificed his life. BJP observed the death anniversary of Dr Mookerjee in all mandals. Those present in the programme were MLA Ashok Rohani, BJYM President Abhilash Pandey, former Mayor Swati Godbole, Suresh Deshpande, Dr Vinod Mishra, S K Muddin, Sadanand Godbole, Sandeep Jain, Rajesh Mishra and others.
