Sambhaji Chavan takes over as new Devpt Commr of MIHAN SEZ

Sambhaji Chavan, joined as the new Development Commissioner of MIHAN SEZ with effect from May 26. He succeeded Jaykaran Singh, acting Development Commissioner of MIHAN SEZ who has been transferred to New Delhi as Trade Advisor in the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. Jaykaran Singh was posted at Nagpur MIHAN SEZ on October 2018 and was instrumental in promoting MIHAN SEZ and bringing many small units to MIHAN. He was proactive in making MIHAN a Green SEZ in association with the developer company Maharashtra Airport Development Company, a Government of Maharashtra Undertaking and other units of MIHAN SEZ.
He successfully implemented the Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) enabled Security Entry Cards System for MIHAN SEZ employees and their vehicles with installation of Smart Boom Barriers with CCTV cameras at entry gate complex of MIHAN SEZ. The newly appointed Development Commissioner Sambhaji Chavan is a young and dynamic Indian Trade Service (ITS) officer of 2008 batch and before joining MIHAN, he has worked at the Surat and Mumbai offices of Directorate General of Foreign Trade. He has more than 10 years of experience in the field of administration of Foreign trade.
He is trained at Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, New Delhi. Jaykaran Singh was accorded a formal farewell by MADC in a small program at Central Facility Building. S. V. Chahande, Advisor (Tech) MADC felicitated him. Sambhaji Chavan was also welcomed and felicitated with potted plant by Chahande and S. K. Chatterjee, Chief Engineer, MADC Ltd. Chahande, Akram Ali, Assistant Development Commissioner, MIHAN SEZ; Yogesh Dharkar, Marketing Manager, Deepak Joshi, PRO, MADC expressed their feelings for Singh. Singh expressed his gratitude towards MADC, all unit holders of MIHAN SEZ and also the staff of his office for their support during his tenure at MIHAN SEZ. Deepak Joshi conducted the proceedings. Dinesh Nanal, Specified Officer, C. F. Ramteke, Sr. Authorised Officer; Kailash Ninave, Sr. Authorised officer; Deepak Kumar, Authorised officer, Rewat Fulzele, Pankaj Meshram and others were present.
