Passenger occupancy will not exceed 50% of total permitted capacity with adequate physical distancing, besides, sanitation of buses after every trip will be ensured by operators to contain any spread of virus
Adhering to directives issued by administration, Jabalpur City Transport Services Limited (JCTSL) resumed on Monday. A total of 20 Metro buses would be operated on main route of city. According to information, the metro buses that went off the road after imposition of lockdown, services finally got resumed on Monday with JCTSL pressed into service 20 Metro buses on important route of city.
Start of metro buses initially was less viable but the JCTSL having managed to convince the operators paved way for resumption of services. About the operating constraint imposed for plying of buses it is informed that passenger occupancy will not exceed 50 per cent of total permitted capacity with adequate physical distancing, besides sanitation of buses after every trip will be ensured by operators to contain any spread of virus. At present juncture determination of fare remains to be get determined but owing to reduction in passenger occupancy in busses fare are likely to get increased by 40-50%.
