The emergency meeting assumes significance in the light of the rapid increase in the Corona positive cases which reached 602, wherein 278 are active cases.

This sudden jump in COVID-19 cases, which was recorded between July 2 and July 10, rang the ‘alarm bell’ forcing the district administration to convene an emergency meeting. The district administration has appealed to people to maintain physical distancing of 6 feet distance at public places for containment of coronavrius. The people have been asked to wear face mask or use ‘gamchha’ in public places. If the people violate the COVID-19 guideline, penalty will be imposed against the violators. Rs 100 penalty will be imposed against the people found without face mask and a similar amount will be fined for spitting at public places. In addition to this, Rs 200 fine per person would be levied for violation of social distancing at the public places.

The traders have been directed to open their shops during the stipulated time period and if they do not follow it, first time Rs 500 penalty will be imposed against the trader and if they violate it for a second time the trader will be imposed a fine of Rs 1000.
