IN order to provide a clean environment to denizens, Jabalpur Municipal Corporation is developing and beautifying gardens. To take stock of on-going beautification work, Municipal Commissioner Anoop Kumar Singh along with senior officials inspected Shivnagar Udyan, Chandrashekhar and other gardens of the city, on Thursday.
Singh said the civic body is ensuring development and beautification of a number of gardens for environment conservation under AMRUT Yojana. He said the main objective of the scheme is to provide better and clean environment to people apart from supplying pure potable water and other civic amenities. Accordingly, the Municipal Corporation following the directions of Administrator Mahesh Chandra Choudhary has started development and beautification of city gardens.
Municipal Commissioner Anoop Kumar Singh said during inspection he asked senior officials concerned to ensure completion of development and beautification of gardens with quality before August 30. He also directed officials to ensure proper drainage system, levelling and other necessary works. He also asked to ensure necessary arrangements for entertainment of children and other people so that they can spend their leisure times there. Officials present were Executive Engineer, Aditya Shukla, Sub Engineer Satyendra Chakraburty, Consultant, contractors and others.
