Member of Parliament Rakesh Singh has been appointed Chief Whip of the Bharatiya Janata Party in the Lok Sabha for the second time. He will replace Sanjay Jaiswal, party’s Bihar unit chief. It may be noted that Singh was BJP’s chief whip in the Parliament from 2016 to 2018 but left the post after he was appointed State President of Madhya Pradesh. V D Sharma replaced him as party chief in MP in February. Party leaders and workers have extended warm wishes to Singh, who left for New Delhi on Tuesday evening.
