Madhya Pradesh School of Drama (MPSD) students continued their protest on the fourth day raising demand of completing their academic session by resuming four months pending classes instead of reportedly giving certificates after summing up the classes within 15 days. Talking to ‘The Hitavada’, MPSD student Rahul Singh Kushwaha said, “For last four days we are continuously staging protest demanding for resumption of fourth month pending classes to complete our session.

We have completed eight months classes before COVID-19, but after the pandemic the classes got affected. Now, we are being told that we would be given certificates without any completion of the pending classes. We do not want certificates without the conduct of proper classes. Our demand is to complete the fourth month classes by the subject experts in a proper manner instead of just letting it go in 15 days. If our demand would not be addressed then we will continue our protest further.”

Student Anjali Singh said, “We want that the classes should be completed either by online mode as it is being done in other acting institutes or any other way. We are an artist and we cannot let our session remain incomplete.” During the protest, renowned theatre artist Sanjay Mehta was also present with the students Priyam Jain, Anjali Singh and Rahul Kushwaha.
