All India Congress Committee replaced Nagpur’s Avinash Pandey, former Rajya Sabha Member by Ajay Maken as in-charge of Rajasthan and speculations started doing rounds. The questions were raised about the replacement amidst the political developments in Rajasthan. Refuting all those speculations, Avinash Pandey told ‘The Hitavada’, “I have completed over 3-and-a-half-years in Rajasthan and the responsibility was given to Maken. It has nothing to do with the political crisis in Rajasthan.” “Congress is a big party and such type of developments are expected there.

I have seen Ashok Gehlot, Chief Minister and Sachin Pilot, ex-State Party chief from close quarters. The Congress is taking great efforts in the State to develop it. Congress Government has announced several schemes there to benefit common man,” said Pandey. A news report has gone viral on social media that the development of bringing Maken in place of Pandey has Pilot connection who in a face-saving act had demanded this action. When asked about it, Pandey said, “These are all false reports. The end of crisis and end of my tenure are the coincidences. In fact I have experienced a good coordination and cooperation from all leaders in Rajasthan.

It is evident from the fact that Congress came to power in the state in 2018.” Pandey who is known for his silent and unique style of working did his job by putting his heart into the works assigned to him. “I worked at booth level, ward level, block level, district to state level. It was altogether a different experience. I am thankful to every single partyman at Rajasthan who extended full cooperation to me at all level. During 2018 assembly elections every volunteer did united effort which was laudable,” pointed out Pandey.

Pandey thanked Party President Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and every single citizen of Rajasthan for providing him opportunity to work in that state. “At this juncture, party has not given me any responsibility. I shall come to Nagpur and continue working for the party. I have no reservation about handling any responsibility. After all Nagpur is my city that will take me into its embrace,” said Pandey.
