Vice-Chancellor of Nanaji Deshmukh Veterinary Science University (NDVSU), Dr Sita Prasad Tiwari has set target to connect 2.50 lakh farmers with different ongoing projects being taken up by the university. VC Dr Tiwari was chairing a meeting of Director Extension and other senior officers to discuss further course of action, on Friday. Officers reviewed the preparations and gave information about progress in ongoing projects.
Addressing the meeting, Dr Tiwari encouraged officers for maintaining mutual co-ordination and co-operation between all departments for better execution of projects and providing its benefits to farmers and developing new employment opportunities for youngsters.
It was informed that the 2.50 lakh farmers associated with Krishi Vigyan Kendra of Jawaharlal Nehru Krishi Vishwavidyalaya will be connected with the schemes of the Veterinary University. In this regard, DRS meeting was organised and officers were given respective targets. Farmers will be given information of new treatment and technologies for better caring of their animals and providing them information of advanced technologies.
After the meeting, Vice-chancellor, Dr. Tiwari along with other officers conducted surprise inspection of Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Extension Department and given necessary directions to concerned officers.
In the meeting, Director Extension, Dr Sunil Nayak, Dean, Dr R K Sharma, In-charge Head of Departments, IPRO, Dr A K Gaur, Dr Hari R and Dr Manju Sahu were present.
