Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan dedicated a super speciality hospital, fully-equipped with modern medical facilities, built at a cost of over Rs 237 crore in Indore. Hospital has 10-storeys having state-of-the-art medical facilities.
Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr Harshvardhan and Union Minister of State for Health Ashwini Kumar Choubey from New Delhi and Medical Education Minister Vishwas Sarang from Bhopal attended programme through video-conference. Former Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya, Water Resources Minister Tulsiram Silavat, Tourism Minister Usha Thakur and MP Shankar Lalwani etc were also present.
The newly-constructed hospital will have Neurology, Neurosurgery, Nephrology, Urosurgery, Cardiology, Cardiac Surgery, Medical Gastroenterology, Surgical Gastroenterology, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and Organ Transplant facilities. This is a 402-bed hospital.
There will be 208 beds mainly in the General Ward. Remaining beds will also be in ICU, emergency, private and semi private wards etc. CM said that health facilities are being rapidly expanded in Madhya Pradesh. Union Government is also extending full support in this direction. Union Health Minister Dr Harshvardhan extended best wishes for the construction of Super Speciality Hospital and highlighted role of former Speaker of Lok Sabha Sumitra Mahajan in the construction of the hospital.Union Minister of State for Health Ashwini Kumar Choubey said that construction of Super Speciality Hospital is a major step towards fulfilling PM’s resolution.
