Dr Srinivasa Varakhedi takes charge as officiating V-C of Gondwana University

DR SRINIVASA Varakhedi, ViceChancellor (V-C) of Kavi Kulguru Kalidas University, Ramtek has taken the charge of officiating V-C of the Gondwana University, here on Wednesday. The term of Dr N V Kalyankar, outgoing ViceChancellor of the Gondwana University, has expired hence the Governor of Maharashtra and the Chancellor of Universities had appointed Dr Varakhedi on his place.
While taking over the charge, Dr Varakhedi said he has to handle the responsibility of two Universities and hoped the officers of Gondwana University’s different wings will extend necessary cooperation in the task. He also called upon the officers, teachers and students to work together with positive approach for the physical and academic progress of the University.
Dr Varakhedi also extended his best wishes to Dr Kalyankar for his good health. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Kalyankar said he has tried his best for the development of University during his tenure despite odd conditions and he got good cooperation of all the officers and the staff. Some of the issues could not be fulfilled due to technical difficulties, he mentioned. Dr Chandrashekhar Bhusari, ProV-C, extended his best to both the V-Cs. Dr Ishwar Mohurle, Registrar, Dr Anil Chitade, Director of Exams, Dr Manish Uttarwar, Director, Research, Dr. Suresh Rewatkar, Dean, Science and Technology, and Dr Shilpa Athwale also spoke on the occasion and appreciated the services of Dr Kalyankar and also welcomed DrVarakhedi. Dr Shriram Kawle proposed a vote of thanks.
