A NUMBER of senior office-bearers and members of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), on Monday tried to gherao the residence of Rajay Sabha MP Vivek Tankha. Irked BJYM members alleged that when entire BJP organisation, right from Member of Parliament to MLAs, and workers were engaged in supporting the suffering humanity during corona crisis, the Rajya Sabha MP did not appear in Jabalpur even once. Yuva Morcha members said Tankha, a senior Congress leader who has contested from Jabalpur Lok Sabha seat twice did not take care of people of Jabalpur during the global pandemic.

He has some obligation towards the public, but on Monday Tankha in a statement allegedly said Rajya Sabha MP belongs to the State which makes it clear that he has no concern with Jabalpur. His statement also indicates that he forgets the people who had voted him during elections.

BJYM members said their organisation was continuously engaged in service work throughout corona period and provided food, ration kits and other needed things to poor and needy people. Besides, BJP leaders provided thermal scanners, transportation facility for stranded people etc. But, Congress leaders were remain inside their houses. Hence, to awake the Rajya Sabha MP from deep slumber, BJYM members gheraod his residence.
