Students can download Pariksha App from Google Playstore from September 24
186 examination, 1.50 lakh questions were set by 1,800 teachers
Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU) has become the first in Maharashtra to be ready with Pariksha App. University has successfully conducted the testing of the app especially in remote areas where network is expected to fluctuate. But University received fantastic results. The app is prepared in such a way so that even if a student’s gadget fails to catch network, the data he or she uploads would be restored once the network is back. Dr Subhash Chaudhari, Vice-Chancellor, RTMNU told ‘The Hitavada’, “We were asked to prepare the app by our Minister and accordingly we came up with this RTMNU-Pariksha App. Our team under the leadership of Dr Praful Sable, Director of Evaluation and Assessment has successfully conducted its testing even in remote villages.
Now our students will not have any problem while taking the examinations.” This is user-friendly and student centric app. The app has several salient features including the easy handling sans complications. Every instructions related to examination will be visible on dashboard. Students can easily download RTMNU-Pariksha app from Google Play store which will be available from September 24 onwards. After installing the APP it is compulsory to allow the following app permissions: a. Take Photo, b. Access Photos and Media, c. Access Microphone, d. Access Location.
The students have the facility to experience examination conditions by using the mock test feature which contains multiple choice questions. For 186 examinations, 1.50 lakh questions were set by 1,800 teachers whose moderation has already started from Monday. The mock test can be used even without login and password. The login and password along with the registered mobile number will be given to students on e-admission card which will be distributed by college.
In case of any change in mobile number student should contact college and get it updated. Students can appear for examination after entering user ID and password. After successful login OTP will be sent on registered mobile number of student. N successful validation of OTP the student can give examination. Without allowing these permission student cannot use the app. After successful login student can proceed to give examinations on designated date and time as per University Time Table. All 50 questions are visible from the start of examination. The student has to attempt any 25. At the end of examination the student has to click submit button for completing examination. Apart from Dr Chaudhari and Dr Sable, Dr Neeraj Khaty, Registrar played vital role in developing the app.

3. Proctoring features are included to avoid possible malpractices.
4. If student opens any other App , the system will warn the user and report to University systems.
5. In case of failure of internet the student can submit examination up to 3 hours after finish of exam. The trails were conducted today in remote areas of Nagpur University jurisdiction such as Deori, Suryatola, Rohana, Sakoli, Goregaon, Chopa, Arvi, Ashti and others. The test was 100% successful with no connectivity issues. Demonstration was given to Vice Chancellor, members of Special Task committee and Director BoEE.
