Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE) has announced its examination dates for the High School Certificate Examination, 2020-21 (Class X) and Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination (Class XII), 2020-21.
While the Class X exam will commence from April 15, 2021 and conclude on May 1, 2021 and the Class-XII examination will commence from May 3, 2021 and conclude on May 24, 2021.
The notification issued by the Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education further states that the main examinations will be held on off-line mode, which means the students will have to appear for these examinations in their respective centers, which will be their own schools. Accordingly arrangements will be made as per the COVID-19 protocols time to time issued by State and the Central Government.
The CGBSE notification further stated that all objective and practical examinations will commence from February 10, 2021. However, in order to comply with the social distancing norms, these examinations will be conducted in 2-3 shifts for one subject in a day.
In case the numbers of students are more, it can be conducted in more than one day so as to ensure compliance of social distancing norms.
Keeping in view the COVID-19 protocols, the provision for appointments of external examiners in practical examinations has been withdrawn. It is being expected that all such examinations will be completed latest by March 10, 2021. The time-table for the main examinations will be displayed in website www.cgbse.nic.in.
Apart from conducting Class-X and Class-XII examinations, the CGBSE will be conducting home examinations for
Class XI and Class XI, wherein, the students will be appearing for their examinations in their respective schools.
Their respective schools will be preparing question papers, time-table for exams and declare results after conducting such home examinations.
