National Law University, Tamil Nadu emerges winner of the competition
 
 
National Law University, Tamil Nadu was the winner of 9th edition of YONO SBI – NLIU Corporate Law Moot 2021, which concluded on Sunday. The event began with great enthusiasm despite the unprecedented times and the 3-day event witnessed participation of 24 teams from across the country. National Law University, Odisha was second in the competition and the best speaker award was given to Aditya Shete of ILS Pune while National Law University, Jodhpur was given the prize of best memorial respondent.
 
The National Law University, Jodhpur and National Law University, Odisha bagged best memorial petitioner award. The judges for the final rounds were retired judge of Supreme Court of India Justice SJ Mukopadhayha, Judge of Calcutta High Court Justice Shekhar B Saraf and Legal adviser in-charge of Reserve Bank of India Unnikrishnan. Addressing the valedictory ceremony Justice Mukhopadhaya stated that he feel enlightened by judging this competition. He further mentioned that he always learn from the youngsters.
 
They are fully energetic and there are many things that we may learn from them. Justice Mukhopadhaya also spoke about the Preamble of our Constitution, with special reference to the words Justice, Equality and Liberty. Justice Saraf said that he loves to judge Moot Court Competitions and he is judging them even before he became a judge in the Calcutta High Court. Unnikrishnan said that despite being on virtual platforms standard displayed by the participants was excellent and competitions like this will help them in their career. The Valedictory Ceremony concluded with the vote of thanks by the Convenor of Moot Court Association, Gokul Holani.
