MECL conducts ‘Vendor Development Meet 2021’

The Mineral Exploration Corporation Limited (MECL), a Miniratna I CPSE, conducted the ‘Vendor Development Meet - 2021’ for MSEs, SC/ST entrepreneurs and woman entrepreneurs recently in association with MSME-DI, Nagpur and DICCI (Vidarbha Chapter) at the MECL Utility Complex in the city. The programme was conducted both on offline and online mode. Around 100 participants were present. The meeting was presided by P M Parlewar, Director, MSME-DI, Nagpur; Anil Telang, Assistant Director, MSME-DI, Nagpur; Gopal Wasnik, President, DICCI, Vidharbha Chapter; Vinod D Godghate, Chief Vigilance Officer, MECL; and B P Dwivedi, GM (Procurement & Contracts), MECL, Nagpur.
 
The programme was organised by the Procurement & Contract Division of MECL with the objectives of encouraging more MSEs, SC/ST entrepreneurs and woman entrepreneurs for participating in the tendering process of MECL and to make them aware about the list of goods and services required by MECL and also informed to get themselves onboard in GeM (Government-e-Marketplace). The detailed modes of purchases and GeM registration, enrollment process in TReDs, Public Procurement Policy were deliberated to the entrepreneurs through presentations. Vinod Godghate, Chief Vigilance officer, MECL has mentioned regarding the role of Vigilance Cell in the organisation. This was followed by an interactive opened session between entrepreneurs and MECL officials regarding clearing of technical doubts on issues related to procurements. The gathering was addressed by all the dignitaries.
