A lecture series on ‘National Education Policy 2020’ was organised to mark the 105th birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Nanaji Deshmukh at Nanaji Deshmukh Veterinary Science University, on Monday. The programme was jointly organised by the NDVSU and Nanaji Deshmukh Training and Research Institute. The chief guest on the occasion was Vice-chancellor, Dr. Sita Prasad Tiwari who inaugurated the event by lighting traditional lamp and worship of goddess Saraswati. Rani Durgawati University, Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Kapil Deo Mishra and Jawaharlal Nehru Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Vice-chancellor, Dr. Pradeep Bisen and noted industrialist and social worker, Dr. Kailash Gupta were special guests.
The eminent educationists and other dignitaries termed Nanaji Deshmukh as Rashtra Rishi and informed about his contributions for nation building and spreading education. On the occasion, Jageshwar Patle, Regional Organisation Secretary, Vidya Bharti, Sharad Agrawal, social worker, Dr. Rajjan Dwivedi, Akhilesh Shukla, Dr Amit Jha, Jai Prakash Shukla, Dr S K Joshi, Dr. Rajesh Sharma, Dr Sunil Nayak, Dr Anil Kumar Gaur, Dr A P Singh, Dr G Das, Dr J P Lakhani, Dr Aditya Mishra, Dr Shobha Jawre and students were present. Nanaji Deshmukh Training and Research Institute, Secretary and Convenor, Ashish Mishra convened the programme while Dr Vinay Anand Maravi proposed vote of thanks.
