7-day Tagore National Artists’ Camp begins at RNTU

A seven-day Tagore National Artist Camp is being organized on the premises of Rabindranath Tagore University (RNTU) Campus under Purwarang of Vishwarang 2021, which began on Monday. This seven-day camp is being organised under the aegis of Tagore World Center for Art and Culture. In the first phase of this camp, from October 18 to October 24, eminent women painters of the country will ensure their participation. On this occasion there will also be interactive sessions focused on the tradition, experimentation and innovation of fine arts. In the series of dialogues, art experts Jai Krishna Agarwal, Ashok Bhowmik, Vinay Upadhyay and Rakhi Kumar will present their views. On the inaugural ceremony of the camp on Monday, renowned painter Professor Jaikrishna Agarwal, former Principal at the College of Arts and Crafts, Lucknow University, Uttar Pradesh inaugurated the camp as the chief guest in the Katha Auditorium of the University.
 
Chancellor, Rabindranath Tagore University, Santosh Choubey was present as the President of the inaugural session. Women painters participating in the cap are, namely, Taslim Jamal from Banswada, Rajasthan, Sanju Das from Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, Dr Sonali Pithaway from Dewas, Madhya Pradesh, Bharti Prajapati from Ahmedabad, Gujarat, Bhavna Choudhary from Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, Meenu Rani from New Delhi, Bhashavati Das from Kolkata, Chanda Singh from Kolkata, Babli Kesari from Kolkata, Mukta Gupta from Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, Jaskanwal Kaur from Chandigarh, Tripti Patel from Ahmedabad, Gujarat, Rakhi Kumar from Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh and Sonia Sabharwal from Panaji Goa. In this seven-day camp, women painters will paint their imagination on canvas through colors and kuchis. Art talks will be organized on a daily basis on various topics, in which creative dialogues will be organized with guest experts and artists on various aspects of fine arts.
