Muskan Kirar wins silver medal in World Senior Archery competition

ARCHER Muskan Kirar brought laurels to the country by winning a silver medal in World Senior Archery Competition in America.
Muskah won silver medal in Compound Team Event. Madhya Pradesh Sports Minister Yashodhara Raje Scindia congratulated Muskan and wished her success in future.
Muskan, an archer of Jabalpur registered her strong presence in final match against Columbia and remained top scorer in the event. Indian team comprising Muskan (Madhya Pradesh), Priya Gurjar (Rajasthan) and Jyoti (Andhra Pradesh) lost final match against Columbia by 224 points against 229 points.
Muskan scored 78 out of 80 points, Priya scored 74 of 80 points and Jyoti scored 72 out of 80 points and satisfied with silver medal.
In the quarter-final match, Indian team outplayed Great Britain by a margin of 2 points (India 144 and Britain 142 points). Thereafter, Indian squad routed USA in semi-final 226-225 points.
Muskan practises under the guidance of chief coach Richpal Singh Salariya at Madhya Pradesh State Archery Academy in Jabalpur. Salariya was conferred with Eklavya Award in 2018 and Vikram Award in 2019 by MP Government.
Muskan won silver medal in Asian Games 2018 and in Asian Archery Championship, Thailand, Bangkok. She had also secured bronze medal in World Championship, Neitherland. Till now, she has won total 10 international medals including a gold, six silver and three bronze medals.
