GREEN Army of Raipur took out a public awareness rally to spread the message of polythene free Raipur on Saturday. Public Relation Officer of the organization Shashikant Yadu said that the main objective is to spread awareness on ill affects of polythene and free the capital city from this menace. The rally was taken out in and around Changorabhata vegetable market. Besides members of the Green Army, local people in large number also joined the initiative. Paper bags were distributed to the customers, shopkeepers, vendors, hotels and the residents of houses nearby.

 

Stickers were also pasted and street play was conducted to highlight the impact of polythene on environment and human health. Leader of Opposition and local Corporator Minal Choubey also joined the gathering on the serious issue. Founder of the Green Army Amitabh Dubey, Zone President Dr Purushottam Chandrakar, kavita Kunbaj, Ratri lahri, local Corporator Meenal Choubey, Sunita Chinsuria, Padmini Verma, Lalita kakde, Krishna Kumar Verma, Punita Chandra, N R Naidu, P K Sahu, Gopa Sharma, Bharti Shrivastav and large number of local people were present.
