Medical Education Minister Vishwas Kailash Sarang and AIIMS Bhopal President Prof Dr YK Gupta inaugurated the PSA Plant (Oxygen Generating Plant) at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on Sunday. Minister Vishwas Sarang said that it is the result of the foresight of Prime Minister Narendra Modi that there will be no shortage of oxygen supply if required. In the coming time also, this oxygen generating plant will supply oxygen in case of any emergency. This plant has been set up with the help of Coal India under the CSR scheme. The plant is of 1000 liters capacity, which will supply oxygen to the trauma center and emergency block and patients will be benefited from it on 300 beds. Oxygen generating plant produces oxygen from the air of the atmosphere.

With this plant, the dependence of AIIMS Bhopal for liquid medical oxygen on other institutes will decrease. Now AIIMS Bhopal will have all different modalities of oxygen resources i.e. Oxygen Cylinder, Manifold, 30 KL Liquid Medical Tank, PSA Plant and more than 150 Oxygen Concentrators. Director AIIMS Dr Sarman Singh, Medical Superintendent Dr Manisha Srivastava and many doctors of the hospital were present in the programme.
