Vidarbha’s young and promising top order batsmen Mohd Faiz Sheikh and Danish Malewar made their debut in the Challenger Trophy Men’s Under-19 One-Day Limited Overs Tournament held at Ahmedabad. In the Challenger Trophy, Faiz was included in India C while Danish was selected in India E team. Based on the performance in the meet, Faiz was picked in India A squad for U-19 tri-series that also involved India B and Bangladesh teams. Later, Faiz was selected as a probable in India U-19 World Cup camp.
