CIDCO V-C Dr Mukherjee to head Smart City Project

 

 

Vice-Chairman and Managing Director of CIDCO Dr Sanjay Mukherjee will also head Nagpur Smart and Sustainable City Development Corporation Ltd (NSSCDCL), as Maharashtra Government has appointed him its Chairman. In recent years at Secretary- level, Dr Mukherjee performed exceedingly well so Maharashtra Government is entrusting him several important responsibilities. Dr Mukherjee, a thorough Nagpurian, considered as neutral and straightforward officer. Wherever Dr Mukherjee worked, he always demonstrated his performance.

 

Divisional Commissioner, Collector, Chairman of Nagpur Improvement Trust, Nagpur Municipal Commissioner, Commissioner of Police will be the part of committee headed by Dr Mukherjee at NSSCDCL. Pravin Pardeshi was its Chairman who was transferred recently. Normally, person from Urban Development Department is given the responsibility. Dr Mukherjee while talking to ‘The Hitavada’ expressed that he would be looking forward to bring some projects that would help the Smart City company grow. He has made it clear, he would study several aspects and try to do whatever he can for the betterment of the Nagpur city.

 

Before taking the charge of Vice Chairman and Managing Director of CIDCO, Dr Mukherjee had worked as Principal Secretary of Medical Education Department where he introduced several changes, created war-room through which every action regarding COVID 19 care was monitored, data was collected. He steered the department at a right direction that helped in reducing the cases. In the same way Dr Mukherjee showed performance in CIDCO as he gave speedy momentum to several works. Now several projects are taking off in CIDCO.
