VNIT to lead bringing together other research, academic and technology institutions and link with various grassroots initiatives
 
To build a professional system to develop an assessment and accreditation process for the voluntary organizations in development sector through the network of VibhaVani.
 
VNIT to develop e-modules and other tools with the assistance from faculty and students
 
Submission of joint proposals by VNIT and Vibha Vani to funding agencies.

With signing Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT) and VIBHA VANI, India (VVI) have opened a new chapter as this agreement will take the technology to the masses. This is a step forward in working in concert through the amalgamation of technological system thinking and societal outreach. Through this MoU, VNIT will play a role as the technology partner while VIBHA VANI India , a consortium of grassroots developmental organisations working in the field of science, education, environment and developmental issues, will work as the societal outreach partner.
 
Taking science and technology for societal development is the common objective and to foster the strength of each organization to meet the objectives of Atmanirbhar Bharat and ensure rural prosperity. VNIT shall act as a knowledge partner for accreditation of Non-Government Organisations (NGOs) and provide student internship programs through which students of VNIT will help NGOs in their ongoing developmental activities. Students can even help in project preparation, data management and other administrative activities. VNIT also shall undertake the development of learning resources for capacity building of NGOs by its faculties.
 
VIBHA VANI would take the Technologies for rural development and livelihood by VNIT to the masses. The activities will be coordinated by Dr Sachin A. Mandavgane. VVI is the consortia of NGOs working in the field of Science, Education, Environment and Developmental issues. VVI is a network of over 1000 NGOs spread in 20 states with 300 plus associates. MoU was signed by Professor P M Padole , Director VNIT and N P Rajive, Executive Director, VIBHA VANI India in presence of Dean, Professor Dr D R Peshwe, Associate Dean, Institute-Industry Interaction Professor Thote, Associate Dean (Student Activities) Dr A S Chaurasia, Associate Dean, PR, Dr R V Uddanwadiker, Head of the Department of Chemistry Dr Kumar, Dr Sunil Bhat, Dr Ajay Likhite and other faculty members and scholars.
