Rashtriya Yuva Swayamsevak evam Yuva Mandal-Mahila Mandal of Nehru Yuva Kendra Jabalpur, jointly carrying out public awareness campaign in the seven blocks of Jabalpur district under Jal Shakti Abhiyan-2 ‘Catch the Rain’. The volunteers are conducting webinars on ‘Water conservation and water harvesting’ which receive overwhelming response from the youths from urban and rural areas.
District Youth Officer, Prateek Sinha and Programme Assistant, Atul Pandey detailed about various awareness activities being organised in the district under ‘Catch the Rain’ through Jal Shakti Mantralay and Nehru Yuva Kendra. Simultaneously, short films were displayed through the video of National Water Mission. Mentioning about the significance of water, Ranjeet Thakur, Project Manager, Water Corporation, said that we can use the rain water after harvesting the same.
We can protect our next generation from water crisis problems by protecting whatever the water infrastructures and bodies presently available to us in the district. Arun Jain, President, Vaishali Sanstha appealed the youngsters to protect the rivers, wells, ponds and other water bodies and asked to collect rain water. The programme was concluded with oath taking.
