Nature teaches valuable things of life to every human being, which is difficult to find in any textbooks and classes. So, youngsters should understand the importance of nature and do not take it for granted said Dr Aruna Palta, Vice Chancellor of Hemchand Yadav University Durg. She was speaking as chief guest at concluding of four-day long ‘study of nature’ workshop of teachers. With the assistance of Union Ministry of Science and Technology as well as Science Centre Bhopal, Department of School Education has conducted this workshop for science teachers. Dr Aruna Palta further stated that this kind of workshop is not only improving the quality of teaching education but also play an important role in filling the gap in between teachers as well as students.
This has also helped participating teachers to understand nature thoroughly and now they will teach students in a new creative manner which will make the teaching interesting. Sandhya Verma, Secretary of Science Centre Bhopal informed that, during this four-day long workshop, 55 teachers from various schools have learnt 45 easy tricks which will help them to communicate students in a better way and students will also learn the nature in an interesting manner. Dr D N Sharma, coordinator of the workshop said that in this workshop, teachers of government schools from districts of Durg, Balod, Bemetara, Rajnandgaon and Kabirdham participated and learnt the new tricks.
Along with them, teachers of leading CBSE private schools in the twin cities of Bhilai as well as Durg have also participated. On this occasion, organisers of the workshop have also organised an exhibition which was inaugurated at the hands of chief guest, Dr Aruna Palta who saw the creations and appreciated it. Later, all of participating teachers were awarded certificates and kits for schools from organisers.
