All the Government run hospitals like Medical, Mayo and AIIMS are full and patients and their relatives have to scour for vacant beds in city hospitals. The civic officials and Mayor visited the Corona Control Room at the Atal Behari Vajpayee City Operation Centre at the civic headquarters on Tuesday and reviewed the situation. They were briefed about the functioning of the entire system. Deputy Mayor Manisha Dhawde, Bhuvaneshwari S, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Nagpur Smart and Sustainable City Development Corporation Limited (NSSCDCL), Additional Commissioners Jalaj Sharma, Ram Joshi and Sanjay Nipane were also present.

Apart from sharing information about beds availability, the Control Room is also keeping tab on positive patients who are in home isolation. Since people are gripped by various doubts in aftermath of testing positive for the COVID-19, the Counsellors explain to them situation and provide tips on safe handling of the quarantine period. Mayor said the growing infection of novel corona virus has again created fear in the minds of citizens. The control room should be their backbone to allay these fears. Any doubts in the minds of the citizens should be resolved through the Corona Control Room. Also, updated information of vacant beds should be given from Corona Centre, he suggested.
