Four notorious goons gang-raped a 16-year-old girl in Vasant Nagar area of Ajni police station. The shocking incident came to fore on Tuesday night. The accused have been identified as Amit Lokhande (22), a resident of Kailas Nagar; Prashik Gote (25), Vishal alias Dattu Khatak and Bittu Waghmare. Amit and Dattu are criminals having several body offences registered against them. According to police, the victim lives with her mother in Ganeshpeth area and student of Standard XI. The victim went to meet her female friend who took her to meet her boyfriend Amit in Vasant Nagar area on Tuesday afternoon.

 

When the girl was busy in discussion with Amit, one Dattu threatened the victim with a knife and took her to room. Dattu sexually exploited the victim. After that, both Prashik and Bittu exploited her. Soon after Amit raped her. Later, the accused asked the girl to leave the spot. The girl went home and narrated the incident to her sister who took her to Ajni Police Station and lodged a complaint. Ajni police have registered a case under Sections 376 (d), 506 (b) and 34 of Indian Penal Code read with Section 4, 9 (g) of POSCO Act. DCP Zone IV Dr Akshay Shinde inspected the crime scene immediately after learning about the incident.

 

The accused were produced in the court and remanded to police custody till March 26. A police official said that the accused also filmed a video of the heinous crime and threatened the girl to make it viral on social media if she will narrate the incident to anyone. Dattu and Amit are notorious goons of the area. Dattu is facing serious charges and operating a gang. Dattu also indulged in smuggling of liquor.
