With growing outbreak of COVID-19 in the city need of Remdesivir injections and oxygen is also increasing continuously. Hence, to ensure availability of life saving things, Member of Parliament Rakesh Singh, despite being suffering from COVID-19 is toiling hard to arrange injections and oxygen to the city. Due to his continuous efforts, as many as 6,500 Remdesivir injections were made available to the city on Thursday. Likewise, he has also arranged four tankers of liquid oxygen, which will start coming to the city from Friday onwards. Speaking on the occasion, Singh said considering shortage of these injections in the private sector, since April 1 till today about 14,000 injections have been provided to the city.
 
Singh said it was his endeavour to ensure supply of 10,000 injections simultaneously in the city to fulfill shortage of injections in hospitals. He said 6,500 Remdesivir injections are made available, in which a consignment of 4,800 injections has arrived on Thursday and remaining 1,700 will be dispatched at night. These injections would be distributed under supervision of district administration. MP Singh said equal efforts have been made to ensure adequate availability of oxygen in Jabalpur and as a result, 4-tanker oxygen has arranged from Bhilai Steel Plant.
 
He said a tanker would reach the city on Friday and thereafter a tanker would arrive regularly. MP Singh said the consignment of Remdesivir injection and oxygen would fulfill present requirement. Those also present on the occasion were Collector Karmveer Sharma, MLA Ashok Rohani and others.
