Good Samaritan Ramesh Khatri proves Godsent for tribal family

A tribal couple, along with three little children, were travelling by foot from Chilpi village in Mandla district towards their native place at Khatia village in Bhopal. A local businessman and social worker, Ramesh Khatri met the tribal family as they were seeking some food and water at Patan by-pass and was shocked on hearing about their tale of helplessness. In a noble gesture, Khatri who took the tribal family at his home and made arrangements for their bathing and called a chef to cook food for the family.
 
He sent them at their native place in a bus with his own expenditure. He also gave them some money for feeding their children on the way. This is not the first time that Khatri has helped a needy family and has always worked for ensuring food for poor persons and even street animals. The couple, C B Thomas and Savita, along with their three children, including 5 and 3- year-old daughters and an 18-month-old son, informed that they were working at a poultry farm at Chilpi village, on Raipur road in Mandla district.
 
Following the lockdown, the poultry farm was closed and their employer failed to give them wages. Whatever little saving they hand were consumed during month-long lockdown and they faced tough time in arranging evem two-time meals. Then they decided to return at their native place at Khatiya village in Bhopal. They managed to reach Jabalpur with the support of some transporters but had no money for food and transport.
