Demand for Remdesivir injection, which is working as a lifesaving drug in coronavirus infection, is increasing continuously with the rising outbreak of covid-19. Member of Parliament, Rakesh Singh is constantly trying to fulfill the demand and as a result of his efforts, another consignment of 18,000 Remdesivir injections reached Jabalpur on Sunday. It may be noted that earlier Singh had made available 6,500 Remdesivir injections and 4 tankers of liquid oxygen.
The 18,000 injections would now reach patients under the supervision of the district administration. MP Singh while receiving the consignment along with public representatives and senior officials said covid-19 is a global problem and its spread very fast. Infected patients need a large number of remedies to avoid the dreadful disease and Remdesivir injection is effective in its treatment. But the supply of these injections was not made as per the demand hence efforts were made at every level and 6500 injections were made available.
Likewise, in view of shortage of oxygen, 4 tankers of liquid oxygen were provided from Bhilai Steel Plant. Now, again 18,000 injections have been arranged which will be delivered to the infected patients under the supervision of district administration. Those present on the occasion were MLA Ajay Vishnoi, MLA Ashok Rohani, Sushil Tiwari, Nandani Maravi Collector Karmveer Sharma, SP Siddharth Bahuguna, Dr. Jitendra Jamdar, Dr. Rajesh Dhiravani and others.
