Construction of the State’s longest fly-over is on in full swing on the last 1.5-kilometres stretch of the project between Prem Nagar and Mahanadda via Madan Mahal which is expected to0 be completed in the next six months. Construction of pillars from Gulati Petrol Pump towards Mahanadda have been completed and construction of thte ramp from Mahanadda has been started.
 
Now the construction agency is waiting for removing the encroachments and land acquisition in the projected areas to continue further construction of pillars from Madan Mahal square towards Madan Mahal railway station and Ranital square. Similarly, construction agency is also waiting for green signal for starting construction of Cable Stay Bridge over Madan Mahal Railway Station. The project report was forwarded from West Central Railway headquarters and waiting for approval from higher authorities.
 
There are around 300 structured have been identified to be removed for land acquisition for fly-over project. Land owners are estimated to be given compensation amounting to Rs. 161 crores which has been allotted by the State Government. Land acquisition process could not be taken place following the lockdown in district. The project work will be given pace once the ending of lockdown. Besides this, Sethi Petrol Pump and adjoining structures at Madan Mahal square will be removed for construction of a big rotary.
