Volunteers of the Rashtriya Sevika Samiti are dedicatedly working for feeding the poor families in slum and remote areas in the district. Increasing numbers of COVID-19 cases and lockdown restrictions have deprived several daily-wagers from their livelihood. Besides this, relatives of several COVID-19 patients who reached Jabalpur for treatment are facing trouble in arranging food due to closed hotels and restaurants. Volunteers of Rashtriya Sevika Samiti are preparing food with complete hygiene and maintaining COVID-19 protocol.

They are supplying around 200 tiffins and food parcels since April 26. These food packets are being distributed amongst patients and their relatives at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College and Hospital with the help of activists of Vishwa Hindu Parishad Mahakaushal Prant and Seva Bharti. Besides this, persons who are quarantined or home isolation are also being served two times food on their demands at different areas of the city.
