Demands withdrawal of case filed against Kamal Nath
Congress is spitting fire after BJP got case registered against former Chief Minister Kamal Nath for using ‘Indian variant’ of coronavirus and questioning the State Government over corona deaths. On Monday, a delegation of Congress MLAs reached Crime Branch office and demanded quashing of FIR lodged against Kamal Nath. Congress delegation including former Law Minister MLA P C Sharma, former Speaker and MLA N P Prajapati, former minister and MLA Jitu Patwari, MLA Arif Masood, former Minister and MLA Vijay Laxmi Sadho and MLA Kunal Chaudhary reached Crime Branch and submitted a memorandum to ASP Rajesh Singh Bhadoria.
PC Sharma presented record of three crematorium grounds and two graveyards, citing figures of deceased whose last rites were performed under COVID protocol. He charged State Government that people died in want of oxygen, injections and hence FIR of unintentional murder should be registered against Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. He also demanded resignation of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Home Minister Dr Narottam Mishra in the entire matter in which FIR was lodged against Kamal Nath.Sharma said that Kamal Nath had referred to foreign media reports using word ‘Indian variant’ corona and in this regard he also presented cuttings of foreign media.
He also presented copy of affidavit submitted by Indian Government in Apex Court. He told that in affidavit, Indian government showed corona as second Indian variant. Advocate J P Dhanopia, former Mayor Vibha Patel, former corporator Guddu Chouhan were also present.
