Functioning began at Indravati Bhawan of the State Secretariat on Thursday with 50 per cent attendance of employees. Even as it was a problem for a number of employees in the absence of bus services from Raipur, employees reached their respective departments on their own. State Government had ordered to open government offices as a part of its unlocking procedure, which is already in place in State. Meanwhile, employees association has demanded to start bus services for the convenience of the employees, as the distance from Raipur to the Mantralaya is nearly 30 km, it has become more difficult for divyang staffers.
It is to be mentioned, entry of outsiders to Indravati Bhawan are prohibited from May 10 in view of Covid-10 pandemic. It was also complained that sanitisation and cleanliness in many parts of the Indravati Bhawan premises were not done. Hours after the demand by the Chhattisgarh Adhikari Karmchari Sanyukt Morcha, an order regarding the plying of vehicles for employees of Indravati Bhawan was released by the General Administration Department of Chhattisgarh. As per the order, the buses will run from May 28.
