Leaders and workers of the Bharatiya Janata Party staged demonstration against the brutal act against party workers in West Bengal at Mandal offices, on Wednesday. During the demonstration at Majholi West Mandal, Member of Parliament, Rakesh Singh termed the act of TMC workers as insult of the Constitution of India. He said that the attack on BJP workers for taking a political rivalry mirrors the culture of TMC against the Indian Constitution. He informed that a large numbers of BJP workers were killed and TMC workers are settling ablaze BJP offices in West Bengal. TMC workers are misbehaving with women but former Chief Minister, Mamta Banerjee is still tightlipped on the atrocity.
He questioned the leadership of Mamta Banerjee and demanded that she should apologise for the violent acts of her party workers and resign from her post. City President, GS Thakur, while addressing the demonstration at Mukherjee Mandal, said that the atrocity on BJP workers by the workers of the TMC is a blot on the Indian Constitution.
He said that BJP workers are not alone in West Bengal but 11 crore party workers throughout the country are supporting them. MLA Ashok Rohani, during the demonstration at Cantonment area, expressed his disappointment over violent acts against the BJP workers in West Bengal and held the TMC leadership responsible for promoting such anti-social activities across the state. During the demonstrations, former Mayor, Prabhat Sahu, State Treasurer, Akhilesh Jain, General Secretary, Rajesh Mishra, Yuva Morcha, President, Ranjeet Patel, Kake Anand and a large number of workers were present.
