The tentacles of COVID-19 pandemic which is spreading at a faster pace in the world including India. Hingna tehsil in Nagpur district is no exception to it. In such situation, Shalinitai Meghe Covid Hospital, Wanadongri in Hingna tehsil is proving a boon for the general people which is treating them at free of cost. In the COVID-19 second wave spanning from March 23 to May 5, 2021, Shalinitai Meghe Covid Hospital has successfully treated 1222 patients. Of them, 500 patients were from the Hingna constituency.
 
The hospital while treating the patients had not imposed any medical expenses on them. Sagar Meghe, former legislator and Sameer Meghe, legislator, managing directors of Shalinitai Meghe Covid Hospital took several rounds of review meetings. They personally wore PPE kit and visited the patients in the hospital.
 
Nitin Raut, Nagpur District Guardian Minister, Sanjeev Kumar, Nagpur Divisional Commissioner, Central team, Ravindra Thakare, Nagpur District Collector, B Radhakrishnan, Municipal Commissioner, Indira Choudhary, Deputy Divisional Officer, Santosh Khandare, Tehsildar and Pravin Padve, Tehsil Health Officer visited the hospital and guided the staff, informs a press release issued here. Dr Dilip Gode, Dean, Harish Bhamre, Co-ordinator Officer, Ravi Meghe, Brij Singh, Medical Superintendent and Sayaji Jadhav regularly conducted the meetings and inspected the hospital.
