Executive Director of the Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC), C S Dhurve informed that here is good sign of industrial growth in the division as record number of investors showing interest in establishing new industries in different districts 
 
Investment in the industrial sector has doubled during the COVID-19 pandemic in Jabalpur division. More than 90 new investors have shown interest in establishing new industries with the allotment of more than 65 hectares land for setting up of industries amounting to above Rs 1,900 crore during the financial year 2020-21. The projects envisage to generate more than 3,500 new employments and giving pace to socio-economic development.
 
Executive Director of the Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC), C S Dhurve informed that here is good sign of industrial growth in the division as record number of investors showing interest in establishing new industries in different districts. “This reflects the industrial policy of the State Government that investment in new industries has been doubled even after the pandemic,” he said. ED Dhurve further added that above 65-hectare land has been allotted for establishment of above 90 new industries during the year 2020-21 against the figure of 30 hectare land allotment for industries in the year 2019-20.
 
Besides this, around 45 new micro, small and medium industries were given necessary assistance under the new industrial policy of the State Government in Jabalpur district during the year 2020-21.The senior officials further informed that there is tremendous potential for industrial development in the district as adequate land are available at Maneri and Umaria Dungaria industrial areas. It may be noted that the division had registered investment in 35 industrial units on 7.35 hectare land in year 2015-16 which was increased upto 59 industries on 38-hectare land in year 2016-17, 62-units on 28-hectare land in year 2017-18 and investment for 55 industrial units with allotment of 30-hectare land was registered in year 2019-20.
