Ace para-shooter of Madhya Pradesh State Shooting Academy Rubina Francis has created history by setting a new a World Record and winning a gold medal in the 10 metre Air Pistol event in the World Shooting Para Sport World Cup in Lima in Peru. Rubina Francs has also secured Paralympic Games Quota for India. She won a gold medal in the final round of 10 metre Air Pistol event of Para World Cup by creating a new record with 238.1 points. Earlier, Rubina scored 555 out of 600 in the qualification round and made it to the finals by finishing fifth. Notably, in the year 2017 Para World Cup was held in Osijek, and Turkish player Aysegul Pehlivanlar had set a world record by scoring 237.1 points. Minister for Sports and Youth Welfare Yashodhara Raje Scindia congratulated Rubina for her achievement and said that she was proud of her.
 
She has brought laurels to the State by winning an international medal and has also made the country proud by securing Paralympic Games Quota for India. Sports Director Pawan Jain said that after Aishwarya Pratap Singh Tomar and Chinky Yadav, Rubina is third player of State shooting academy to secure Olympics quota for India. He also said that it is the result of world-class training imparted to the players here at Madhya Pradesh Shooting Academy that they are continuously making us proud by winning medals. Rubina has been learning the nuances of the sport at the Madhya Pradesh State Shooting Academy since 2017. She has won two gold medals and one bronze medal for the country at international Para Shooting competitions.
 
Rubina has won a gold medal for the country by setting a junior world record in the 10m air pistol women team event at World Shooting Para Sports Championship held at Bangkok in 2017 and she also won a bronze medal in the World Shooting Para Sports World Cup held at Croatia in the year 2019. She has made Madhya Pradesh proud by clinching 12 medals including 10 gold and 2 silver medals at national Para-Shooting competitions.
