THe Western Central Railway (WCR) carried out freight loading in seven new commodities and earned revenue of more than Rs 41 crore. To promote transportation of goods through Railways, the WCR has established the Business Development Units (BDU). WCR gives various discounts and facilities to business for transportation of goods through Railway. Besides, conducting freight loading of traditional goods, WCR conducted freight loading of other commodities. At Panihar godown of Bhopal division and Gosalpur and Kachhpura godowns of Jabalpur Division, 66 racks of iron were loaded in May, resulting in revenue of Rs. 37.38 crore.
At Jabalpur division, 6 racks of blast were loaded from Khannnabanjari station top New Pahada, resulting in a revenuer of Rs. 1.23 crore. At Jabalpur Division, food grains were loaded from Sagar station to PHNJ Katihar Division. It resulted in revenue of Rs. 01.57 crore. Sand was loaded from KPFP station of Bhopal division to Mangalia village of Ratlam division, resulting in revenue of Rs. 15.8 lakh. For the first time, Soya seeds were loaded from Guna station of Bhopal division to Gandidham station of Ahemdabad division, resulting in revenue of Rs.29.38 lakh. Similarly, mustard was loaded from Guna station of Bhopal division to Hingoli station of Nanded division. It resulted in revenue of Rs. 17.19 lakh. At Kota division, 21 wagons were loaded from Bundiu station, resulting in revenue of Rs. 12.11 lakh.
