Divisional Railway Manager Sanjay Biswas, while addressing a virtual press conference on Wednesday, informed about the achievements of Jabalpur Railway Division during the period of June 2021. DRM Biswas informed that Jabalpur Railway Division will restart three pairs of Intercity trains namely Jabalpur-Singaruli Intercity, Jabalpur -Ambikapur Intercity and Jabalpur-Rewa Intercity. Moreover, Jabalpur-Amravati Express will resume from July 2 onwards. He said that these trains would benefit people of rural areas and patients visiting Nagpur for medical treatment. DRM Sanjay Biswas said that Jabalpur Railway Division will replace 4 pairs of passenger trains with MEMU trains shortly. For the convenience of passengers, Foot-Over-Bridges (FOBs) have been constructed at Salaia, Aslana and Patwara stations.

 

Under the Non-Interlocking system, double railway lines are being constructed at Malkhedi Bina, Rithi Hardua and New Katni Junction to allow smooth operation of trains. Similarly, On-line Monitoring of Rolling Stock (OMRS) technique has been installed at Katni-Singrauli railway Block. This technique helps to check the health of the wheels of trains. In case of any fault in a wheel, the Control Office receives a message about a fault through an alarm raised by OMRS system. Adding further, DRM Biswas said that wagon shades have been set up at Narsingpur, Sihora, and Bagratawa station. Laying emphasis on vaccination, DRM Biswas said that around 6,000 beneficiaries vaccine in vaccination centers of Jabalpur Rail Division. Additional Divisional Railway Manager Deepak Gupta, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Vishwaranjan and other concerned officers were present in the meeting.
