The Western Central Railway (WCR) has installed coach guidance system (bogie display board) at 96 platforms of 33 stations across three divisions till June 2021 for convenience of passengers. Equipped with a colour-based light system, the coach guidance system will display information about the passenger train before its arrival time. Therefore, the passengers will be able to locate their bogies easily. The coach guidance system is installed in 13 stations of Jabalpur division. These include Jabalpur, Madan Mahal, Narsingpur, Gadarwara, Pipariya, Katni, Maihar, Satna, Rewa, Katni, South Katni Mudwara, Damoh and Sagar stations.
The coach guide system is installed in 8 stations of Bhopal division. These include Bhopal, Bina, Itarsi, Habibganj, Vidisha, Hoshangabad, Sant Hirdaram Nagar and Harda stations. The coach guide system is installed in 12 stations of Kota division. These include Kota, Sawai Madhopur, Gangapur City, Bayana, Bhartapur, Ramganjmandi, Vikramgarh A lot, Shamgarh, Bhawani Mandi, Shri Mahabirji, Hindaun City and Sanagraia stations. The coach guidance system will help to prevent chaos that occurs during arrival of a passenger train. The coach guidance system will help to avoid overcrowding at railway station. During night hours, the passengers will be able to locate their coach easily. Western Central Railway will replace the pre-installed coach guidance system at Maihar, Katni and Katni Mudwara stations of Jabalpur division. The pre-installed coach guidance system at Bhawani Mandi station of Kota division will be replaced. Moreover, new coach guidance system will be installed in Bundi, Dakaniya Talav and Lakheri railway stations of Kota division.
