School Education Department, Dantewada held a district-level meeting of block education officers, assistant block education officers, block resource co-ordinators, school principals and cluster co-ordinators at Education City Jawanga, Geedam, on Wednesday. Deputy Collector Preeti Durgam, District Education Officer Rajesh Karma, Assistant Director Ahilya Thakur, District Mission Co-ordinator S L Sori were present in the meeting. Soni apprised all the newly appointed principals about their responsibilities as per the guidelines of the government, acquainting them with the important scheme of the government regarding free uniforms and textbooks, ensuring 100% availability of uniforms and textbooks to the children.

 

In the past, 2 principals from the district were honoured with the State Teacher Award. State awardee Devendra Soni and KR Thakur shared their experience. District Collector Deepak Soni also graced the occasion. Akanksha Verma, the student who topped the district in 12th Board, was honoured by the Collector. The best three cluster coordinators were honoured in language training category. Collector Deepak Soni also addressed the participants.
