From designing beautiful structures to preserving environment, young architects took to the broom as they cleaned up waste from Sendh Reservoir in Naya Raipur on the Independence Day. Architect Nalin Singh and Architech Deergha Jain Singh from Asymmetry Architect led the group of young architects in service of nature. They young architects cleaned plastic and other wastes from the banks of Sendh reservoir. Deergha Jain said the main objective of their initiative was to keep the environment clean and balanced. The initiative sent out a message to the general public that it is necessary to keep the environment clean with self-motivation.
This is our service to Mother Earth our service to India. The youth also took a pledge that they shall not be throwing garbage at tourist or public places and maintain the beauty of these serene places. The youth also stressed up on the importance of tree plantation to preserve and nurture the nature. We plant trees, keep the nature clean, keep the surrounding environment clean. The youths garnered a lot of praise for their efforts. Inspired by team-effort of youths, everyone enthusiastically participated in the cleanliness campaign on this occasion. Ar Nalin said that now there is a need for the youth to take a vow of cleanliness to protect the environment.
Ar Deergha says that if the youth will work with determination, then the day is not far, when we will see the beauty, cleanliness in the environment around us. With the cleaning of natural resources, we can best serve the ‘Mother India’, setting up a new definition of resolution of service. In this campaign, Rajkumar Raju, Ar Srijan Agarwal, Purti Jain and Nikita Naidu had a commendable presence.
