‘National Entrepreneurs Day’ celebration today

 

 

 

National Entrepreneurs day will be celebrated on January 16 2022 over a virtual platform from 3.00 pm to 5.00 pm. The program is being organized by Lemon Ideas and Vidarbha Industries Association (VIA), supported by TiE Nagpur, VED Council and Nagpur First. This year’s theme for the award ceremony is “Entrepreneurs from Bharat” where 20 enterprises from Vidarbha and other tier 2/3 cities of India would be felicitated. Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari will be the chief guest of the function while Director of IIM Nagpur Dr Bhimraya Metri and CMD of Confidence Petroleum India Ltd Nitin Khara will grace the occasion as guests of honour. On January 16, 2016 Prime Minister had announced a bunch of benefits and schemes to promote the start-up ecosystem in India under the event called ‘Start-up India Action Plan Launch’.

 

This was indeed a historic day for Indian entrepreneurship and start-ups. It was a highly appreciative movement for an entrepreneur who wishes to thrive yet sustain in the Indian soil. There is World Entrepreneurs Day. There are many countries like the US that celebrate the spirit of entrepreneurship. Indian entrepreneurship also needs celebration and a special day should be devoted. It would be a day dedicated to all Indian entrepreneurs, creators, innovators, designers, businessmen, industrialists and founders. Lemon Ideas has been encouraging the need of National Entrepreneurs Day for past 7 years. Since 2017, VIA and Lemon Ideas has been celebrating January 16 as Entrepreneur’s Day, wherein the bodies felicitate 16 entrepreneurs each year, as per a specific theme.

 

The theme that they have decided for Entrepreneur’s Day 2022 is ‘Entrepreneurs of Bharat’, wherein they would will founders of 20 ventures of tier-2 and tier 3 cities across India.
