Glowing tributes paid to Azad Hind Fauj founder Netaji Bose

 

 

 

Superintendent of Police, Siddharth Bahuguna (IPS) paid tribute to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on his 125th birth anniversary at Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Central Jail Jabalpur, on Sunday. He also inaugurated a museum of belongings and memorials of Netaji when he was imprisoned by British rulers at Jabalpur Central Jain.

SP, Bahuguna gave floral tribute to Netaji in Subhas barrack where Netaji was kept and took a glimpse of his belongings protected at the barrack.

Speaking on the occasion, SP, Siddharth Bahuguna said that Subhas Chandra Bose was one of the leading and big leader during war of freedom. He formed Azad Hind Fauj with the help of Japan to fight against British rulers during the World War-II. His slogan of ‘Jai Hind’ became the national slogan.

He added that Netaji had a close relation with Jabalpur as he was kept at Jabalpur Jail on the order of British Government. He imprisoned in Jabalpur Jail on December 22, 1931 and he was shifted to Mumbai Jail on July 16, 1932. Thereafter, British rulers again kept him in Jabalpur Jail on February 18, 1933 and shifted him to Madras Jail on February 22, 1933. Besides this, Netaji visited Jabalpur during Tripuri Conference in year 1938.

Central Jail Superintendent, Akhilesh Tomar informed that a museum of belongings of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose has been established for common persons. Besides this, photo exhibition of Netaji is also depicted to commemorate the great leader. The museum will be available for common visitors on every Saturday and Sunday free of cost. Visitors will be allowed at the museum after security check and identity verification by jail security.
