Mining Deptt seizes four hywa, destroys 5 boats used in illegal excavation of sand

Continuing a rigorous campaign against illegal mining and transportation of minerals, Mining Department team seized four hywa and destroyed five boats engaged in illegal excavation and transportation of sand in separate cases, on Sunday.
Mining Inspector, Devendra Patle informed that under the direction of Collector, Karmveer Sharma (IAS), they have started a special campaign against illegal excavation and transportation of minerals.
During the campaign, mining team stopped a hywa bearing registration number MP-20H-8399 on Shahpura road. Hywa driver named Rakesh Mehra, son of Sharda Prasad Mehra failed in presenting royalty documents and the hywa was seized at Tilwara police station. Thereafter, mining team seized four hywas
in Tilwara near mining check-post. Hywa numbered MP-20H-6389’s driver Ramesh Patel, son of Laxmi Prasad Patel, resident of Bahoribandh found with illegal stock of 15 cubic metre sand, hywa numbered MP-20HB-1638’s loaded with illegal stock of sand was seized and its driver managed to escape from the spot and another hywa numbered MP-20HB-3813 was seized with illegal stock of 14 cubic metre sand and its driver named Rohit Kol, son of Anarilal Kol of Patan was arrested. Similarly, mining team conducted surprise inspection at the bank of river Narmada in Lalpur village and five boats engaged in illegal excavation of sand from the river. Team has destroyed the boats on the spot. During the campaign, Mining Inspector, Devendra Patle, Abhishek Patle, Mining Surveyor, Vijay Chakrawarty, Sipahi, Ankit, Shyam and Dinesh were present.
