Fadnavis to attend launching event of ‘VEDIC’ at Ordnance Factory Ambajhari today

The Vidarbha Defence Industries Association (VDIA) and Yantra India Ltd (YIL) consortium announced the establishment of VIDH Engineering Design Innovation Centre (VEDIC).
It is envisaged as an integrated state-of-the-art centre of excellence for skill and entrepreneurship development facility with on the job training machine shop, catering to the industry needs for skilled workforce and allied prototype development units in the aerospace, defence, armoured vehicles, indigenous engineering sector in Vidarbha region.
The setup will be launched at the Yantra Institute of Technology and Management situated at Ordnance Factory Ambajhari on October 1 12.30 pm.
Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will grace the function as a chief guest. Lt. General Vinod Khandare (Retd.) Principal Advisor to MOD along with Rajeev Puri, Chairman YIL and ASR Naik, IAS, Joint CEO MIDC, Subhash Chaudhari Vice Chancellor RTMNU and Satyanarayan Nuwal, Chairman Solar Industries shall be the guest of honour.
Signing of agreement with Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU) to recognise the courses will also be executed in presence of the dignitaries.
