TWIN sisters Akshaya Zanzad-Anuja Zanzad and Ashwin Mokashi, all members of Aqua Sports Club brought laurels to the city by winning medals at the 23rd Maharashtra State Masters Aquatic Championship organised by Maharashtra State Veterans Aquatic Association at Nanded.

Akshaya and Anuja won five gold and two silver medals each in age group 30-34 years women categories while Ashwin won four gold and one silver (30-34 men). With their best performance they contributed in the overall runner-up trophy for the city.

All the swimmers are members of Aqua Sports Club and area trained by the able guidance of senior coach Dr Pravin Lamkhade (NSNIS, Patiala) and ASCA Level 5 coach and Vishal Chandurkar.

Aqua Sports Club President Mohan Nahatkar, Secretary Mangesh Gadre, Director Midland Sports Prashant Ugemuge, Operations Manager NIT Pool Ashwin Janbandhu, parents of Aqua Sports Club swimmers and sports lovers congratulated the swimmers and wish them luck for their future venture.
